Jaka Stadler, cellist, was born 1983 in Ljubljana-Slovenia. He studied with Ciril Skerjanec at the Academy in Ljubljana and later with Wen-Sinn Yang at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich. He participated in master classes of David Geringas, Wolfgang Böttcher, Frans Helmerson, Patrick Demenga and Martin Ostertag. He won several competitions such as the Antonio Janigro Competition, Alfredo Marcosig Competition in Gorizia, international Competiton of Citta di Stresa. Equally committed in the orchestra literature, he has played under Maris Jansons, Claudio Abbado, Bernard Haiting in Orchestras such as the Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, Bayerische Staatsoper.

In 2003 he was awarded with "Ehrenpreis der Europäischen Kulturstiftung" in Vienna. He gave recitals in Slovenia, Italy, Croatia, Germany and USA. As a soloist, he performed with Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra, Qatar Philharmonic and Zagreb Chamber Orchestra. Since September 2008 is Jaka Stadler the Principal Solo cellist of Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra and from September 2010 on the cellist of Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra.
