The double-bass player Uroš Lečnik graduated from the Conservatory Velenje under the supervision of Professor Blaž Zupan. He studied at the Academy of Music Ljubljana under the guidance of Professor Zoran Marković where he graduated with honours. He took part at Professor Josef Niederhammer’s international summer academy in Semmering and the summer academy in Feldkirchen organised by Professor Zoran Marković.  At the state championship of double-bass players TEMSIG in 2005 he won the gold award and the second prize. 

He has worked with many renowned Slovenian orchestras: The Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra, RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra, Slovenian Army Orchestra and the Slovenian Police Orchestra. Moreover, he was a member of a double-bass ensemble 'Bass Chorus' which was founded in 2006 by Zoran Marković. Since 2009 he has been working as a double-bass player at the Symphony Orchestra of the Slovene National Theatre Maribor.
